The Bermudian

On July 22 life members of the Bermuda Junior Service League held a reception aboard the Deliverance on Ordinance Island in St. Georges to celebrate the 400th anniversary of her voyage to Virginia in 1610. The fundraiser was to ensure the future of the Deliverance, which was saved from demolition in 2009 by an agreement between the St. Georges Foundation which manages the ship, and and the Bank of Bermuda Foundation which funded the restoration.
