It’s the Best of Bermuda Awards twenty-first year and traditionally, this significant milestone represents maturity, transition and the coming of age; characteristics which we think you’ll agree we have achieved to date. It’s true, with age comes experience and over time our annual competition has grown in prestige and popularity to become the most anticipated and sought out issue of The Bermudian magazine each year. With this our 21st anniversary we are thrilled with the success of the Best of Bermuda Awards and continue to be proud to be the voice of all that is BEST about Bermuda!

Once again, our extraordinary judges ate, drank, shopped, black-mailed secrets out of strangers and polled hundreds of willing participants, all in the name of research. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank each of them for their hard work and dedication. Thanks too to our wonderful sponsor BF&M, they know that The Best of Bermuda Awards is THE ultimate list of where to eat, drink, socialize and shop, as well as a who’s who of Bermuda’s political and social scenes.

This year a record 193 awards were given and a fifth component, People’s Choice was added to the pre-existing categories: Food, Drink & Entertainment, Clothing & Accessories, People & Places, and Shopping & Services. As always, it was an interesting journey to the end, characterized by tough battles between chronic rivals and victories by longtime favourites. Here’s to all the seasoned veterans and the blossoming rookies, as we celebrate not only our coming of age, but your commitment to excellence, consistent quality and transcendent ingenuity.
