In our seventh annual Interior Design Awards, a recently renovated office and a modern apartment claimed the overall prizes in the commercial and residential categories respectively.
Our annual awards aim to celebrate the most innovative, functional and beautiful interiors designed over the last year. This year the entries exceeded our expectations with Hiscox, designed by Karl Travis at Cooper Gardner, winning the commercial category, and a minimalist apartment at Six Dundonald by Bendell Design taking top prize in the residential category. Our judges also noted the spectacular job Travis did for Flowers by GiMi, awarding it a runner-up citation, as well as new offices for Lancashire and Argus, which received well-deserved honourable mentions.
Our judges, from various sectors of the design field, considered quality of design, relationship to context, functionalism, professionalism and, naturally, overall appearance. We thank them wholeheartedly for giving us their precious time and honest opinions throughout the process to make these awards possible.
Thanks also to our sponsors, BAC and Kohler, who have generously given the winners in each category a trip to visit Kohler Company and a stay at the five-diamond luxury resort The American Club in the village of Kohler, Wisconsin, home of the Kohler's Waters Spa.
