Geoff Parker’s view of architecture has been synthesized from the traditional Bermudian environment he grew up in, the love of craftsmanship as an amateur woodworker and a thorough investigation of the intellectual principals that built the modern world we live in today.

From his early days as a professional architect working in the centre of London, he began to understand that architecture is not about buildings. It is about people. It is about creating spaces for human beings to live, work or even to just pass through and the quality of life that they experience in those spaces.

Driven by that view, Geoff Parker Architect was established in 2009 and has grown steadily in the face of the economic downturn. Through a dedication to customer service, the practice has received a steady stream of referrals and developed quality long-term relationships with clients. By skillfully drawing out what a client really requires from a project, Geoff Parker and his team ensure their clients get true value for their investment and explore options they may not have originally envisioned.

This is the key to the practice’s success: establishing trust by ensuring that the focus is always on a solution that is derived from the client, not the ego of the architect.

A successful project is measured against how it satisfies the core issues of the client. Keeping a design on track and on budget is a result of taking the time to understand those core issues. This allows Geoff Parker Architect to consistently exceed its client’s expectations in the quality of the design, the value created in the building and the level of service it delivers.

While the practice has the skill set to design any type of commercial, residential or infrastructure projects, a particular passion is working on historic buildings. This links back to Geoff’s love of craftsmanship and history as well as the desire to ensure that our connections to the past are preserved. Lessons learned from buildings created when the pace of life was slower influence the practice’s current work by building stronger connections between people and the built environment.

Geoff is a registered architect in the UK and Bermuda and sits on the Historic Buildings Advisory Committee. The practice offers not only architectural services but project management and other design services in the construction sector, such as planning advice and feasibility studies.
