The restaurant is owned and managed by the acclaimed Chef Jean Claude Garzia, whose sprawling international career has been celebrated in dining rooms as far as Quebec City. In 1996, he was singularly awarded the grand honor of “Meilleur Ouvrier de France,” distinguishing himself as the best among 550 of his peers. Given Chef Garzia’s inspired culinary talents and years of dedication, it’s no surprise that Beau Rivage ranks among the island’s best dining experiences.

Beau Rivage’s elegant atmosphere features large round tables that are perfect for memorable post happy hour gatherings with friends and colleagues. You can also sit outside on the quiet terrace for a romantic one-on-one meal overlooking the harbour. The view is stunning, to say the least. Nestled along the water’s edge, Beau Rivage- which means “Pretty Shore” in French- offers an incredible panoramic vista that undoubtedly lives up to its name. On calm evenings, the colourful lights of the City of Hamilton are reflected in the dark, glassy surface of the harbour below; when there’s wind, the ocean is transformed into a dancing, sparkling mass matched only by the twinkling of the stars above.

 

 



With menus that meld a variety of intriguing flavours and locally grown produce, Beau Rivage’s best bets include the fresh Bermuda Rockfish, calamari fritti and seafood risotto. Also well worth a taste is the impeccably prepared Beef Wellington, served in a golden puff pastry alongside a hearty mushroom duxelle and, of course, foie gras. Attentive and professional staff members know exactly when to top up your glass- did we mention that the restaurant boasts an extensive and award-winning selection of international wines?

If you prefer to share a few small plates amongst the table, you’ll love the medley of vegetarian, meat and seafood tapas offered at the restaurant’s newest addition, Sanzibar. This stylish “Ultimate Tapas & Burger Bar” offers a long list of cocktails - think frozen margaritas and exotic mojitos - in addition to 15 creative and tantalising burgers.
