The Bermudian

The new, island-style venue is a long overdue addition to Horseshoe Bay Beach, one of the most picturesque and well-known destinations on the South Shore. And the restaurant’s winning location is just the beginning! If the thought of Rum Swizzle-marinated ribs gets you salivating, you’re going to love their Bermudian-inspired BBQ cooking.

Rum Bum Beach Bar’s menu features no frills comfort food that’s perfect for eating on the beach. American staples like hot dogs and hamburgers are dished up alongside home-style mac and cheese and lighter fare options, including salads and coleslaw. Blend in with the locals and order a fish cake served, in traditional fashion, on a hot cross bun. Or, get the house special Rum Bum Burger slathered in their signature black rum BBQ sauce.

A laid-back vibe and cool ocean breeze make Rum Bum Beach Bar the ideal venue to listen to reggae tunes and the melody of steelpan drums. A handful of casual picnic tables draws plenty of daytime drinkers and is the ideal place to sit off and relax in the shade. Chow down on authentic Bermudian cuisine - think locally caught fish with a side of peas and rice - while doing a bit of people watching. You can also take your lunch to go while enjoying one of Rum Bum’s beach loungers; umbrellas, sun tents and boogie boards are also available for rent.

True to island hospitality, Rum Bum Beach Bar’s crew of boisterous bartenders go out of their way to make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. They’re serving up all the local libations, including Swizzle, Dark and Stormys and various other tropical frozen delights. Best of all: the bar is open from 10:00 am to midnight, seven days a week, to make sure your thirst is always quenched. Icy cold beer on a hot summer’s afternoon? It doesn’t get much better than that.

And don’t forget to bring a friend - or three; Rum Bum Beach Bar’s 3,000-foot patio area is built for a crowd and is a popular destination for weddings and group festivities. Plus, there’s day and night-time live entertainment to really get the party started. Everything from the informal atmosphere to the fun “tiki hut” décor is geared towards making sure you have a “Bermudaful” time.
