The Bermudian

Friendly and affordable, Angelo’s Bistro is a favourite among families, visitors and working professionals. Owner and manager Angelo Buglione is also known and adored, thanks to his years of experience at some of Bermuda’s most enchanting establishments, including Waterloo House and Splendido at Horizons & Cottages.

Today, Angelo and his wife Fatima invite you to stop by their restaurant, where they will treat you and your party like family.

The outdoor seating area is modeled with the casual ambiance of a Mediterranean piazza, complete with a fountain and decorative greenery, and makes for a terrific group lunch locale. People-watchers will enjoy the restaurant’s unique location in Walker Arcade between Reid and Front Streets. The open-air dining and bustle of easy-going passersby contributes to this spot’s unique and welcoming vibe. Inside, the newly renovated restaurant is warmly lit, cozy and comfortable. Tables line brightly painted walls, which are decorated with local artwork and other conversation starters for a casual dinner or first date. Be sure to sample a glass or two from the wine list, which includes reds and whites for every price range. Plus, Angelo’s is located just an easy walk from the movie theater and Hamilton’s best clubs and bars, making it a convenient meeting place before a night out in town.

Food-wise, Angelo’s Bistro serves breakfast, lunch and dinner six days a week. The menu, which is primarily Mediterranean with subtle island flair, highlights fresh, simple ingredients and locally caught delicacies. A few best bets include their famous scallop and shrimp salad and melted Brie and bacon baguette, as well as the Bermuda chowder and local rockfish, yellowfin tuna tartare and handmade ravioli. Also highly recommended for lunch and dinner is the thin-crust pizza, tender New Zealand lamb chops and Certified Angus Beef sirloin.

In addition to the regular menu, Angelo’s Bistro has been recognised repeatedly for its diverse and delicious gluten-free options, such as the roasted aubergine salad and Bermuda fish cakes. There’s even gluten free pasta available upon request; the servers, chefs and owner are always accommodating and eager to please. Also very popular is kids’ corner menu, as well as the classic list of homemade desserts and free WiFi. Stop by for a mid-morning pick-me-up at Angelo’s Bistro for a delicious, properly made Italian espresso or cappuccino and a service that never disappoints.
