Asserting her belied that “two actors in the family are enough,” Mrs. Thomas N Dill, of Bermuda, recently turned down a Hollywood screen test.
In California to visit her daughter and son-in-law , Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Douglas, whom are prominent in the entertainment world, Mrs. Dill was invited to the studio to watch Douglas perform in “Strange Love”, his current motion picture. Barbara Stanwyck, Van Heflin and Lizabeth Scott are starred in the film, which will introduce Douglas to movie audiences.
Producer Hal Wallis was introduced to the lady’s charm and wit, offered a test and role in the film. Director Lewis Milestone also urged that she accept, but Mrs. Dill remained firm.
However, she did consent to pose for the still cameraman with her daughter and son-in-law; Milestone and other studio personnel
