The Bermudian

Nothing says bright, fresh and clean like white. That is why we give three cheers for Benjamin Moore which chose Simply White OC-117 as its 2016 Colour of the Year.  With thousands of choices, it’s nice to return to basics.  With a clean and airy feel, white rooms evoke the freshness of spring: open doors, gentle breezes, the smell of clean linen. And even though we love deep saturated colours, there’s a bit of warmth and nostalgia for white done right. Think country cottage, farmhouse kitchens and flowers picked fresh from the garden.

White paint can also give you a fresh start to do whatever you want with your décor and go where your creativity will take you. Because OC-117 Simply White has a hint of creamy warmth, it won’t feel stark or cold.  Use it on both walls and ceilings to make a small space feel larger and brighter or as the perfect background for your favourite furniture or artwork. Pair with warm woods and soft fabrics for a simple uncomplicated space. And in Bermuda, white is a beautiful canvas to use as a backdrop for your gorgeous ocean views.

Can’t part with bold colours?  Accent Simply White with one wall in a rich raspberry, masculine navy or a vibrant yellow.  Balanced with a soft shade, a bold colour won’t overpower your space, but you’ll still make a statement!
