Local legend and beloved Ocean vet Dr. Neil Burnie passed away on November 11th in a free-diving accident off of Horseshoe Bay Beach. The musician, activist, vet, and shark-tagger is survived by his loving wife Katrin Burnie, his son Oscar Deuss, daughter Kim Deuss, and siblings Judith Sweetman, Jonathan Burnie, brother-in-law Rufus Sweetman, sister-in-law Meg Burnie, and pets Kia, Hugo, Ziggy, and Kitty Michael, and the members of the Bermuda Shark Project.
