For the 20th year running, our annual product and service awards celebrate the best Bermuda has to offer to our business community from dining, events and fitness to graphic design, PR and accounting.

As Bermuda adjusts to post-pandemic life, we reward the amazing businesses, business people and entrepreneurs who haven’t just thrived during adversity but have innovated to survive and whose growing ventures provide vital employment and support to fellow-Bermudians.

Flexible working practices mean more of us are working from home and more of us need reliable at-home IT support. Enter a new category—residential IT support. Elsewhere, many businesses want to make up for lost time with in-person events to entertain their staff and clients. We celebrate the hotels, restaurants, charter yachts, caterers, event planners, rental companies and creatives who are making this happen. From corporate gifts to office cleaning, lunchtime exercise classes to expert legal advice, HR services to office supplies, all these businesses are excellent and we want to applaud each and every one. To our regular winners for being phenomenal year after year and those for whom this is their first accolade, congratulations to you all.

As always, we would like to thank our expert panel of judges as well as all our readers who voted for the best products and services in Bermuda for 2022.

  • Award of Excellence: The Hamilton Princess & Beach Club
  • The Hamilton Princess is “setting the standard for what hospitality in Bermuda should do,” say our judges. It is an ambassador for Bermuda. Anyone who stays there, eats there, attends an event there, or even just pops in for a quick drink leaves with the impression that Bermuda is a top-class destination, particularly for people who want to do business here. “They’re pushing new things and doing new things all the time,” continue the judges. The world-class artwork throughout the hotel. The exceptional restaurants. The magnificent marina. The luxurious hotel rooms. Where would we be without the Hamilton Princess? This hotel also stands out above all others because of what they do for Bermuda as a whole. The hotel is owned by Bermudians, and they do everything they can to support the island. The number of people they employ makes them vital to the local economy. They even allowed the Harbourview Ballroom to be used as a COVID vaccination centre. This is not the first Award of Excellence for the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club and it’s unlikely to be the last. 76 Pitt’s Bay Road, Pembroke; 295-3000
  • Office Supplies: AF Smith
  • The best of the best once again. • Travel Agent: Travel Edge
  • One of the tougher industries to be in over the last couple of years has surely been the travel industry. But Travel Edge has proven that no matter how convenient the technology, we can’t always be our own travel agent. COVID rules, cancelled flights, rescheduled flights that didn’t work with our onward journey. These are just some of the issues Travel Edge has helped their customers to manage. They are also excellent for group travel, which is finally coming back, and not just for business. School trips are being reorganised, not to mention just plain “fun with your friends” trips. 35 Church Street, Hamilton; 292-3033

  • Office Cleaning Service: Pro-Tone Cleaning Services
  • “They really have their fingers on the pulse,” agree the judges, one of whom can personally attest to the quality of Pro-Tone’s “big deep clean” service which “smells good and looks good too.” Popular with the public as well as our judges, Pro-Tone was really put to the test in the pandemic because the usual clean just wouldn’t do. Commercial properties needed to be sanitised like never before and their team of friendly, professional staff rose to that challenge. 20 Dundonald Street, Hamilton; 292-1456
