  • Around The Island Power Boat Race
  • Ferry Reach | August 7th | Offshore race starts at 2pm

The 2022 Around the Island Power Boat Race is set to take place this Sunday (August 7th) starting at Ferry Reach. Spectators can enjoy junior racing which starts at 10:30 am and jet ski racing at 12:30 pm before the grand offshore finale begins at 2pm.

  • Harbour Nights
  • Front Street, City of Hamilton |Every Wednesday |7pm- 10pm

No summer in Bermuda would be complete without a visit to Harbour nights, a lively street party that consumes Front Street every Wednesday night. August is the last month to enjoy this beloved summer event, which includes over 60 local artisan vendors, al fresco dining, live music and spirited performances by the Gombeys.

  • Self-guided City Art Tour
  • City of Hamilton

The City of Hamilton is decorated with vibrant local art installations that frame streets and the sides of several buildings. Become your own tour guide and learn more about them by picking up the official City Art Tour map from City Hall reception and stroll around Hamilton taking in the colourful sights. Head down to The Loren every Thursday this month for dreamy MOËT Summer Nights accompanied by music from DJ Felix.   • Bruce Stuart: The Place We Know
  • Masterworks Museum of Art | August 12th through September 6th

This month, Masterworks Museum of Art sees the opening of a new exhibit showcasing works by Bruce Stuart from the gallery’s Permanent Collection. “The Place We Know” is largely comprised of works made by the artist in the 80s-90s which hold an emphasis on “our island home”. An opening reception will take place on August 12th from 5:30 pm to 7 pm.

Presented by Inter-Island Communications, this summer musical showcase will feature an incredible lineup of local artists, including The Soul Sistas, Jesse Seymour, Willard ‘Will B’ Burch, The Kings’ Band featuring Arijahknow Livewires, Lyaness, Sheila Smith, Gita Blakeney and Desta Zion. If you are looking for something different to do with your little ones, this pirate themed treasure hunt on the beach promises a day of adventure and fun. Family tickets for up to 4 people can be purchased here.

If you’re looking to unwind in the presence of live music, the 2022 Best of Bermuda award winning musician, Tino Martinez will be performing in jazz lounge pop-up sessions at the BMDS theater.
