On June 14, 2019 students from across the island gathered in Hamilton for a climate change rally, petitioning the Bermuda government to take climate change seriously and implement sustainable, environmentally-friendly initiatives to reduce Bermuda’s carbon footprint. The rally followed in the footsteps of the “Fridays for Future” movement, a campaign started by Greta Thunberg that has seen thousands of students from all over the world leave school to petition their own governments to combat global warming and pollution. Photographer Oliver Tucker was there to capture the passion and placards of Bermuda’s students.
