Undoubtedly, Bermuda is one of the most beautiful places in the world and the popular #ilivewhereyouvacation hashtag confirms our island as an Instagram-worthy location. Among the coves, coasts, lush greenery and bustling streets that dot our shores, there are endless opportunities for the perfect snap and here are 5 that you might not already know about but should.
#1. Abbot’s Cliff
Located in the East End, Abbot’s Cliff sits high above Harrington Sound, giving its visitors a vantage point unmatched by (some might even say) the lighthouse. Choose a good day, when the sun is shining and the wind is non-existent and take in the views of Abbot’s Cliff for yourself – we promise, you won’t be disappointed!
#2. North Shore Railway Trail
The trails between Flatt’s and Bailey’s Bay are ripe for taking in nature at it’s most beautiful. Not only are the views of the North Shore incredible but it’s easy to spot turtles, parrot fish, longtails, and more, especially first thing in the morning.
#3. Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club
This one may come as a surprise if you haven’t been to Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club before but seasoned Bay Club vets know that there’s no better time for an Instagram update than on a summers afternoon, when the sun is high in the sky and a county game is taking place on the pitch. Seriously though, we all love a culturally significant Instagram pic and when local cricketers are wearing their whites against the backdrop of the Atlantic, it equals Instagram magic, baby!
#4. On a boat off South Shore
Sometimes the beauty of Bermuda is best enjoyed from a distance. If you have the opportunity to see the island from the South Shore, take it but don’t forget to update your Instagram, too!
#5. Flatts Inlet
The tones and hues of Flatts Inlet aren’t replicated anywhere else on our island which is why it’s such a special place to snap a new Instagram picture. Pose on the banks of the inlet, on T or I dock or even Flatts Bridge, you really can’t go wrong in such an idyllic setting.
