Saturday, March 30—Earth Hour (8:30–9:30 p.m.)
An annual event of global scope, Earth Hour is a critical reminder of the importance of protecting the planet and its resources. From clean air and water to food and so much more, there is much to appreciate that comes from nature. Join millions around the world and participate by simply turning out the lights for one hour on Saturday, March 30.

 

Friday, April 19—Good Friday/Easter Weekend
The favourite holiday of many Bermudians, Good Friday is an integral part of the island’s culture. Enjoy kite flying, fish cakes and hot cross buns, Bermuda Easter lilies and an atmosphere of festivity and celebration. The whole weekend is a time of fun and relaxation for tourists and locals alike.

 

Saturday, April 27—ITU World Triathlon
Returning to Bermuda after the great success of the inaugural event in 2018, the ITU World Triathlon is not to be missed. Participants will enjoy Bermuda’s beautiful scenery and ideal springtime racing conditions. The triathlon will feature a swim in Hamilton Harbour, followed by a cycle along the fast Hamilton street circuit, which includes the brief but challenging Corkscrew Hill, and will finish with a run along Hamilton’s scenic Front Street. Apart from the race itself, spectators can enjoy the Triathlon Festival, a whole weekend filled with fun events for everyone, and not least the exciting atmosphere of the event. Saturday, May 4—AXA End-to-End
Now in its 32nd year, the End-to-End is Bermuda’s largest community fund-raising event, and this year it will be sponsored by AXA XL. Participants may run, walk or swim from one end of the island to the other, with the event being intended to support the Bermudian community as a whole, all while encouraging fun and fitness. This year’s benefitting charities are Friends of Hospice, Age Concern, WindReach and Raleigh Bermuda, and they were selected for their work’s collective broad reach across the community. Saturday, May 11—Wild Wild West
In support of its many programmes that enrich the lives of individuals of all ages and abilities, WindReach will be hosting an evening of fun with the theme of Wild Wild West. Guests can expect gourmet barbeque and moonshine, live and silent auctions and great music from well-known local band Working Title. Friday, May 17–Saturday, May 18—Relay for Life 2019
In an overnight walk and run at North Field at the National Stadium, the community will come together in support of those fighting cancer and to honour those who have lost the fight. Participants may take part as individuals or in teams, with those in teams being asked to have at least one group member on the track at all times. Funds raised at this 24-hour event truly make a difference. For the Bermuda event, 97 percent of funds raised stay on island, while three percent are contributed to the American Cancer Society. Friday, May 24—Bermuda Day
As every Bermudian knows, May 24 means the beginning of summer! Enjoy the first swim of the year at one of the island’s beautiful beaches and watch the runners and cyclists as they race. And of course, don’t miss the Bermuda Day parade! There will be music, dancing and many other celebrations of our island’s unique culture and heritage.

 

Friday, June 14–Monday, June 17—Bermuda Heroes Weekend
The highly anticipated Bermuda Heroes Weekend comprises a schedule of carnival-style events running from Friday through Monday. Organised by BHW Ltd, the event promises to deliver unique cultural experiences—including raft-ups, parades and parties—excellent food and quality entertainment, not to mention the best in soca music.
