It’s no secret that Bermuda comes alive in the summertime. With so much going on it’s impossible not to. Beaching, boating, cocktail-drinking; they’re all favoured summer pasttimes on our little island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and we wait all winter long to partake in some fun in the sun. Although times are forever changing, we like to think that summertime in Bermuda will always remain a time for laughter and fun. Something else that has always remained an integral part of summer fun is Gosling’s. Whether it be Gosling’s rum or one of their imported brands (Patron, Belvedere Vodka, Jack Daniels, Hendrick’s Gin, El Jimador Tequila, Finlandia Vodka, Bombay Sapphire Gin, Veuve Clicquot, Hennessy, Chivas, Stella Artois, Amaretto di Saronno), summer in Bermuda wouldn’t be the same without Gosling’s.
Now all of this has got us feeling nostalgic so we dug up archived photos from a summer long ago when The Beatles were still together and mobylettes were still the favoured form of transportation. See if you can guess which year these photos are from. The first to guess correctly will win a one year subscription to The Bermudian magazine as well as a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, courtesy of Gosling’s. Only guesses submitted in the comment box below will be considered.
Cheers to summertime past and present!
We have a winner! Katrina Beckwith was the first to guess the year correctly as 1967. As promised, Katrina will win a one-year subscription to The Bermudian Magazine, as well as a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, courtesy of Gosling’s.
