It’s no secret to anyone that Bermuda is one of the most beautiful places in the world. In fact, the island has been used many times as the setting for books and Hollywood movies. The latest Bermuda-inspired story is illustrated children’s book, The Little Cottage.

The book, written by Liana Hall and illustrated by Alicia Wanklyn, explores a Bermuda cottage set adjacent to Somerset bridge and incorporates historical and cultural elements of Bermuda. The book is aimed at educating both locals and those abroad about the island.

If you’re itching to get your hands on a copy of The Little Cottage, you’ll have to wait. The book, although already written and illustrated, has yet to be printed. The author is calling on locals and residents to help her fund her dream of publishing The Little Cottage, by donating to the book’s production.

The estimated cost of producing and printing the initial 200 copies of the book is $15,000, some of which has already been raised via the website www.indiegogo.com.

Hall and Wanklyn are offering some pretty fabulous incentives to donate, including party tickets, greeting cards, jewelry, silk scarves and signed limited edition copies of The Little Cottage.

Anyone can donate between $1 and $2,000 and as Hall and Wanklyn stress, no amount is too small!

So go ahead and donate HERE, and see The Little Cottage come to life!
