• If you’re looking for a way to make use of ripe avocados, try this recipe from Jane West. This creamy, rich and naturally sweetened dessert with a hint of black rum is sure to impress!
  • Ingredients:
  • 4oz chopped semi-sweet chocolate (60% cocoa)
  • 2 large ripe avocados
  • 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp Black Rum
  • 1/8 tsp kosher salt
  • Optional: 1-3 tsp Agave or maple syrup
  • Directions:
  • Microwave chocolate for 1 minute – stir and microwave another minute. Be careful not to burn it.
  • Cool until just slightly warm.
  • Blend Avocados, cocoa powder, milk (and you can use regular), rum and salt in a cuisinart.
  • Refrigerate or serve! A dollop of whipped cream would be a nice addition!
