If you’re looking for a way to make use of ripe avocados, try this recipe from Jane West. This creamy, rich and naturally sweetened dessert with a hint of black rum is sure to impress!
Ingredients:
4oz chopped semi-sweet chocolate (60% cocoa)
2 large ripe avocados
3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ cup almond milk
1 tsp Black Rum
1/8 tsp kosher salt
Optional: 1-3 tsp Agave or maple syrup
Directions:
Microwave chocolate for 1 minute – stir and microwave another minute. Be careful not to burn it.
Cool until just slightly warm.
Blend Avocados, cocoa powder, milk (and you can use regular), rum and salt in a cuisinart.
Refrigerate or serve! A dollop of whipped cream would be a nice addition!
