This summer, sip on a classic mojito with a very Bermudian twist. Typically mojitos are made with white rum but why not make the switch to a dark rum mojito, the added spice and Bermudian flavor will make this summertime sip all the better.

 

Ingredients:
8 fresh mint leaves

2 teaspoons turbinado sugar, (raw sugar)

1/2 lime, cut into fourths

2 ounces Gosling’s Black Seal Rum

Club soda or seltzer water

Ice

 

Directions:

  1. Muddle mint, sugar, and lime in the bottom of a tall, sturdy glass, just until mint is bruised and limes have been mostly juiced.
  2. 
Add rum, and muddle a tiny bit more to mix.
  3. Fill glass with ice, then top with club soda.
  4. Serve with cocktail straws if you have them.
