Shortbread cookies are always a welcomed treat and this recipe is easy as pie to follow. Bake a batch or two to share with friends and family and relish in spreading the sweet love.
1/2 lb butter, softened at room temperature overnight
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
Add flour and sugar to butter and muck up with hands until well-blended. If necessary add more flour until batter is firm enough to roll out on board to be cut with cookie cutters.
Cook at 250F for 35-40 minutes.
Let cookies cool before enjoying.
