The perfect fall recipe, featuring the most popular ingredient of the season – PUMPKIN!

1 ¾ cups flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup cooked pumpkin
½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spices
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/3 cups sugar
1/3 cup Crisco
2 eggs
1/3 cup milk
½ cup nuts
½ cup raisins

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spices in a large bowl.

Place sugar, eggs, and Crisco in another bowl, and beat until light and fluffy. Add the pumpkin, and mix in with the egg mixture.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and fold in the vanilla and milk. Fold in the chopped nuts and raisins. Grease a loaf pan, and pour in the mixture.

Bake bread in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for about one hour, or until done.
