For the Salsa
4 medium tomatoes, seeded and diced
Half bunch of fresh cilantro, minced
1 medium red onion, diced
8 leaves fresh basil, chopped
5 tbsp olive oil
1 ripe avocado, skinned and diced
1 garlic clove, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Juice from half a lemon and half a lime

Gently stir together tomato, cilantro, basil, garlic and red onion. Add diced avocado and mix. Do not overmix. Chill and serve same day.

For the Tuna
Brush tuna steak (six to eight ounces per person) with salt and pepper. Heat a sauté pan and add a small amount of olive oil. Cook quickly on each side. Remove and keep warm.
