As trends in the beauty industry turn toward non-surgical procedures, which require only minimal commitment but yield maximum impact, micropigmentation has become a welcome solution for those who want to look their best. A cosmetic treatment that improves the shape and appearance of eyebrows, micropigmentation is a semi-permanent, non-invasive procedure in which natural, organic pigments are applied to the second layer of skin, or dermal layer, with the use of a micro needle. This long lasting makeup is applied by an experienced technician and produces an appearance that is more natural and realistic than that produced with conventional makeup.

Particularly appealing to those who suffer from various health conditions that cause the loss of hair or difficulty applying makeup, micropigmentation provides long term relief from the stress of daily makeup application and can restore self confidence to a great degree. Having natural looking, long lasting eyebrow shape and color has enabled many people to have the freedom to swim, cycle, run, dance and participate in many other activities without  the fear of their brows disappearing.

In Bermuda, the technicians at Headway Hair and Body have seen first hand the tremendous difference micropigmentation can make for a person’s self confidence. The treatment can be applied in several ways, depending on the look the client would like to achieve. These styles include hair strokes, which create a natural, subtle effect; bold, for a more prominent look; and ombre brows, which are defined by the shaded effect created by the use of two pigments.
No matter what style of micropigmentation is desired, the team at Headway can achieve the look. And even if a client has received previous treatments elsewhere and been dissatisfied, Headway’s technicians can perform corrective work to restore eyebrows to their best appearance.

Once applied, the treatment lasts between three and five years, and needs only to be topped up annually. Alternatively, a client may opt not to top up their brow treatment, which will allow the micropigmentation to fade naturally, depending on how the pigment has been absorbed by the skin. The treatment itself can be completed in about 90 minutes during the first appointment and an hour during the second, and any redness or discomfort caused quickly fades.
At Headway, micropigmentation has a cost of only $500, which includes three appointments: a free consult and patch test, the design and first application, and a touch up, all of which are carried out within six weeks.
