Make good use of your fresh pumpkin guts this Halloween a this yummy recipe to enjoy throughout the fall.
This recipe will require adult supervision!

Prepare oven: 350 degrees F.

Prepare pan: Line the bottom of two 8.5 x 4.5 inch loaf pans* with a piece of parchment paper. Spray all over with cooking spray.

Bowl 1: Mix wet ingredients. (Beat sugar and butter together first.)

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 15 oz canned pumpkin

Bowl 2: Mix dry ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Pour dry mix into wet mix while adding milk. (Tip: Make sure to start with adding dry mix and finishing with adding dry mix.)

  • 1/2 cup milk

Complete mix. Fold in chocolate chips at the end. Evenly pout batter into pans.

  • 12 ounce package chocolate chips

Bake: 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted (by an adult!) comes out clean. Cool for a few minutes in the pan before inverting onto a wire rack to cool.
